Hi, I'm Ryan
My career technically began the day I opened After Effects and created a truly awful lightsaber battle starring my little brothers swinging whiffle ball bats in the backyard. It was objectively garbage—but I was obsessed, showed it to everyone, and immediately knew I wanted to keep making things.
I studied Computer Science at the University of British Columbia before moving to do Computer Animation at Pratt Institute. This led to my start at Nickelodeon and from there I freelanced across New York advertising studios, moved to Montreal to work big blockbusters with Framestore and ON Animation, and eventually made my way to Los Angeles.
Over the years, I’ve been lucky to collaborate with clients like Adobe, Meta, HBO, BBC, Warner Brothers, Netflix, and Disney. Today, I’m a Technical Director at DreamWorks Animation, where I support productions and build tools that expand and future-proof the studio pipeline.
